ABSTRACT
In this article the author discusses the damage done to the environment by a number of factors including industrial waste, global warming and air and water pollution. He contends that as a result of human activity no part of the world can be considered to be in its natural state. He cites the book "Vanishing Landscapes," a collection of photographs that documents environmental degradation.
