Strain Transmitters With Adaptation Benefits

October 2008
Production Machining;Oct2008, Vol. 8 Issue 10, p61
The article focuses on the benefits of the strain transmitters of Kistler Instrument Corp. which combine advanced digital charge amplifier in a compact sensor housing. The integral electronics permit the programming sensor sensitivities by ManuWare software that fits the sensors of the company to its signal conditioners or process monitors. The transmitter measures force indirectly through proportional material strain and can be found in more accessible locations in manufacturing machinery.
