ABSTRACT
The article discusses the vital role of Asian market to the Irish food and drink industries. The significant growth in the value of export sales for Irish food and drink products to Asian markets in 2007 has provided an excellent platform for further business development. Breiffini Kennedy, manager of Bord Bia's Asian markets, states that the increasing value of export sales for food and drink products are the result of the Irish companies' consistency in meeting the needs of Asian customers.
