ABSTRACT
The article introduces women automobile repair shop owners in the U.S. One of them is Teresa Kostick who opposes insurer ownership of collision-repair shops. Another is Geralynn Kottschade, co-owner of Jerry's Body Shop in Mankato, Minnesota, the first woman to become chairman of the national board directors of the Automotive Service Association (ASA). Jeanne Silver, vice president and co-owner of Butterfield Bodyworks CARSTAR in Mundelien, Illinois, received the Collision Repair Executive of the Year award from a magazine.
