ABSTRACT
The article presents several views on the issue of whether there are advantages to keeping boys separate in school. Deland McCullough, principal of the Harmony Community School in Cincinnati, Ohio, said that when they switched to single-sex classrooms, the students worked, their guards came down and they revealed the really caring and nurturing side of themselves. Victor Lavy, researcher at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, pointed out that the more girls there are, the fewer fights there are among students and the less disruption during lessons.
