ABSTRACT
The article states that the Wisconsin Energy Independence Fund administered $7.3 million in grants and loans in 2008 for renewable energy projects. This pertains to the state's initiative to have 25% of its electricity generated by state-based businesses and 25% of its fuel generated from renewable sources by 2025. American Science and Technology Corp. received $150,000 in grant money to purchase equipment for manufacturing fuel and chemicals from wood waste and switchgrass.
