ABSTRACT
The article reports that the U.S. House of Representatives passed the revised Emergency Economic Stabilization Bill of October 3, 2008, and President George W. Bush signed the legislation into law soon after. The package is said to extend existing renewable energy tax credits for eight years. Included are new credits for geothermal heat pumps, combined heat and power systems. The legislation also removes the $2,000 credit cap for homeowners and businesses that install solar electric equipment.
