Renewable energy technologies, such as photovoltaic, solar thermal, geo thermal, biomass, tide and wind are developing rapidly. Basic problems are arising in the wind energy are discussed. Wind energy conversion, in particular, is becoming cheaper than traditional methods in some areas of the world. This paper presents the potential and the feasibility for the renewable wind energy resources for Medi-Mediterranean especially in Isparta. To meet Turkey's growing energy demand, the installed electric power capacity of 27.8 GW in 2001 has to be doubled by 2010 and increased fourfold by 2010. For this reason, the dominant wind directions, the mean values and wind potential which were observed between the years 1998 - 1999 were determined. The dominant wind direction, the mean values, wind speeds, wind potential and frequency distributions were designated. The results were classified according to the height above the ground level. As a result, the energy potential was designated thanks to the meteorological data.
