ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the growing popularity of social networking Web sites in the marketing industry. According to Nancy Boese of the Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center, there are efforts by companies to link their Web sites to various blogs. Particular focus is given to the benefit of linking a company site to an independent blog. The focus on relationships is the main difference between social media marketing and traditional marketing. Presence on two or three social networking sites is recommended by Kevin Dean of ManoByte.
