ABSTRACT
The article presents the opinion of several U.S. House Representatives who are for the suspension of the fast track consideration of the Colombian Free Trade Agreement. According to New York Representative Louise Slaughter, the Senate's consideration of the agreement will have no effect. Honorable James McGovern of Massachusetts asserted that policies of the Bush administration have produced an American economy in crisis. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi mentioned that the relationship between Colombia and the U.S. is an important one.
