ABSTRACT
An encyclopedia entry for the issue of gun control in the U.S. and the conspiracy theory surrounding it. It notes that every year Cogress fails to pass antigun legislation and conspiracy theorists believe that such efforts to ban gun ownership in the U.S. is a part of the plot of the so-called New World Order. Gun-control advocates recognize the constitutional right of American citizens to bear arms but they say that such arms should not include assault rifles. It also details the arguments of the defender of the gun rights.
