ABSTRACT
The article discusses the Israeli attack on Gaza that began in late 2008. The initial aerial bombardment and subsequent ground invasion was intended to halt rocket attacks on Israel launched by members of the Hamas organization. Contained in the article are a number of issues that need to be resolved if there is to a be a lasting Arab-Israeli peace.
