Neglecting your tools -- not the sharpest idea

The anecdote is about a woodcutter who at first was able to cut a good number of trees but after a few days he was able to cut no more than 10 trees. The woodcutter was then asked by his boss if he had thought of sharpening his axe. The woodcutter replied that he had not thought about it as he was focused on cutting more trees.
