ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the benefits of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for credit markets backed by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The stimulus package allocates $730 million to the SBA, which includes $375 million for temporary fee reductions or eliminations on SBA loan, and $30 million for expanding SBA's microloan program. The Act will also allow the SBA to offer loan guarantees of up to 90%.
