The article presents information on the restorations of several old gasoline stations on Route 66 in Texaco, Texas. The 1936 Tower Service Station at Shamrock was created by architect J. C. Berry and was restored in 2004 through a Federal Transportation Enhancement Grant. The Philips 66 gasoline station was built in 1928. The 1924 Hi-Way Service Station was restored using funds from the Route 66 Corridor Preservation Office of the National Park Service.
