The article explores the impact of the Internet on newspapers, magazines and other printed material in the U.S. It cites the chaotic fashion that the Internet releases rumor, gossip and facts. According to the author, the demise of the newspaper has been hastened by the financial crisis before the potential of the digital newspaper could be realized. It mentions that searching for a word, a person, and an idea when reading an online periodical is much easier.
