ABSTRACT
The article informs that RetireSafe, a grassroots seniors advocacy group, supports one-time payment of $250 from the U.S. Treasury to all Social Security beneficiaries under the economic stimulus package, but contends that it falls far short of making up what they really need. RetireSafe has offered the U.S. Congress some easy options including ending the onerous tax on Social Security benefits and eliminating the early-retiree earnings limits that would stimulate the economy for seniors.
