ABSTRACT
The author questions the possible influences of the online social community 4chan.org for brands that advertise on the site. He notes that the site, which is founded by 21-year-old Christopher Poole, has 300 million page views each month. However, it is said that the people who visit the site post bizarre pictures and share rants and raves. The author suggests that in order to succeed online, marketers need to ask themselves whether the 4chan can improve or ruin their brands.
