ABSTRACT
The article reports that New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine has finally received more than $200 million in unemployment modernization incentive funds from U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis in 2009. The said funds intend to help New York improve its economy as well as address its increasing number of unemployment claims due to recession. The receipt of the fund, accordingly, has made New York to be the first ever state to have received funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
