The article offers an overview of the guidance from the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) of the U.S. Department of Education that provide state and local agencies with information on disclosure of disability on report cards and transcripts for public elementary and secondary students with disabilities. School districts are recommended to indicate in the report card the distinction between special education programs and general education curriculum classes. In the case of student transcripts, the OCR suggests that such type of information may not indicated.
