ABSTRACT
The article reports that the U.S. Education Department (DoEd) has published the applications for the 245 million dollars from the Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems program. The program is designed to help states upgrade their tracking of students' achievement from preschool through college. These funds, via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Pub. L. No. 111-5 (ARRA), support systems that link students' achievement to teachers and principals.
