ABSTRACT
The article discusses the hunting and gathering tradition in Bruce Bay, New Zealand. The abundance of fish, game, and birds in the region reportedly gives residents a range of food sources. Experiences of residents on catching whitebait in Jacob's River, gathering shellfish in Hunts Beach, and hunting deer in the Paringa area are mentioned. Tips on the preparation of deer for cooking are also offered.
