ABSTRACT
The article discusses studies of plants that are fighting for survival. According to a study by Lambers et al, diversity-promoting interactions help plant species prevent their extinction. A 2006 study by Stinson and Bazzaz found that increased carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere heightened the mean stand-level biomass of the shoots of the ragweed plants.
