ABSTRACT
The article discusses the concept of historic and philosophical evolution of the modern "intelligent design" creationism. It highlights the discussion on the book "Natural Theology," by William Paley which contributes to the understanding of the theory of evolution. It also explores on the creation of the book and the ideas contributed to clarify the contemporary state of knowledge in geology, natural history and other scientific fields.
