ABSTRACT
The article discusses the trends and developments of in-state refineries in Alaska. It cites that these refineries, including Flint Hills Resources LP refinery, Tesoro Corp., Koch Industries and Petro Star Inc., face turbulent times, however volatile crude oil pricing and price controls helped them to recover from the recession. The efforts of these refineries to impose oil price control and develop some strategies to bounce back are addressed.
