ABSTRACT
The article discusses the special features of the architecture of Exhibition Hall A of the Graz Trade Fair in Graz, Austria. The building was designed by Riegler Riewe Architekten. Among those features are stark staircases of exposed concrete, asphalt floors, a lattice-like facade of gray steel mesh panels, and interior box constructions in free space. Steel ceiling tracks permit partitioning of large open spaces into varied configurations. The design of Riegler Riewe was said to have been selected because it offered the most potential for further development of the fair.
