ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the launch by Thomson Reuters of a new global range of securities market indexes. Such indexes will cover 44 countries, 18 regions and various industry sectors. The Thomson Reuters Indices are accessible through desktop computers and via data feeds in products including Thomson Reuters Portfolio Analytics, Reuters 3000 Xtra and Thomson Reuters Datastream. The company also revealed plans of launching Middle Eastern indexes similar to those released by Dow Jones and MSCI Barra.
