The article discusses the renewable energy technologies that can be employed to maximize the energy efficiency of an existing building. The technologies include photovoltaic (PV) systems, which can be employed to generate electrical energy for a building; solar water heating and solar tracking skylights systems, which use solar energy to lower energy use, and a wind-turbine system.
