ABSTRACT
The article presents comments from various magazines and financial professionals regarding the too-big-to-fail policy in the U.S., prior to its implementation in 2009. "The Region," in its June 1991 issue, criticized the policy as a moral hazard, suggesting a redress of the resources allocated to fund it. In its September 1997 issue, it accuses the U.S. Congress of failing to address the issue raised, when they approved the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Improvement Act (FDICIA). Gary H. Stern and Ron J. Feldman likewise criticized the policy in 2004.
