ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the prevalence of underage sex in India, based on the "India Today"-AC Nielsen ORG MARG sex survey in 2008. At least 15% teenage girls in a big-city school are sexually experienced, according to Doctor M. K. C. Nair of the Indian Academy of Paediatricians. Results of the survey show that 37% of men and 17% of women have had their first sexual experience before age 20. But despite the statistics, young adults in the country are reportedly uneducated about sex.
