ABSTRACT
The article offers news briefs about the financial sector in Great Britain. A consultation on planned amendments to rules on how the operation of credit unions should be governed has been launched by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). A shortlist of nominees has been published by the Social Enterprise Coalition for its annual Social Enterprise Awards. From January 19 to 21, 2010, a conference will be held in York for organisations involved in the improvement of accounting for grass-roots organisations.
