A Second American Speaking Tour: What a Difference Three Years Makes

Omer, Mohammed
January 2010
Washington Report on Middle East Affairs;Jan/Feb2010, Vol. 29 Issue 1, p20
The author reflects on the December 2008 Israeli assault on the Gaza strip that killed thousands of Palestinians and destroyed their homes, in the course of his second American speaking tour. He observes that more Americans are condemning the attack, although others only complain of local inconveniences and cannot appreciate what millions of Gazans are going through. The author also notes that in spite of pro-Israel lobbyists, some Israeli students felt shame after his presentations.
