ABSTRACT
The article offers the eyewitness views of correspondent Amira Hass on Israel's systematic destruction of Gaza in December 2008. "Panopticon," which is the gathering of information from prisoners and dwellings through constant surveillance, was reportedly practiced in Gaza. It is stated that Israelis have hardened their regard for Palestinians, as shown by the troops' deliberate contamination of occupied Gaza homes with garbage, and that such behavior is training exercise for future wars.
