ABSTRACT
The article discusses the history of the Award of Garden Merit (AGM) given by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) to ornamental plants, fruit and vegetables in Great Britain. It states that award was created to help gardeners choose the best plants for their garden. Nigel Colborn, chairman of the RHS Trials Advisory Committee, the awards are being reevaluated every 10 years.
