ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the role of Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell as the role model of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie in terms of approach to economic development. Rendell prefers a hands-on approach to attracting and retaining business in his state. The aim of Christie and Lieutenant-Governor Kim Guadagno in emulating Rendell is to boost the business competitiveness of New Jersey. Also mentioned is the intention of Christie to learn more about the economic approach of Rendell.
