ABSTRACT
This article presents discussion regarding the policies of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission on internet marketing and blogging. Details are given highlighting guidelines effective in December 2009 seeking to require legal disclosure of bloggers who have "material connection" to services and goods they write about. Commentary is then given criticizing the move on the basis of its infringement of free speech.
