ABSTRACT
The article reports that tension between Hamas, the Islamic Jihad and Salafites in the Gaza Strip seemed to have resurfaced after several Salafite militants overran convoys on their way to the funeral processions of Islamic Jihad fighters. It is stated that a number of Salafite leaders including Mahmoud Taleb escaped from Hamas prisons, which further contributed to the brewing tension.
