ABSTRACT
The article provides an overview on several developments in the global geothermal power generation industry in 2007. It mentions that its global capacity has increased from 7,972.7 megawatt (MW) in 2000 to 8,933 MW in 2005. It states that the fastest geothermal application is the geothermal heat pump (GHP) that has already gain acceptance for residential and commercial buildings.
