ABSTRACT
The article looks at the security situation in Europe. Terrorism is noted as the main threat to the region's security. A number of European countries are participating in the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan led by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). This only provided global jihadis with justification to plan attacks in the region. Internally, domestic terrorist groups pose as threats to European countries.
