ABSTRACT
The article reports on the statement of Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas that his meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama would be essential to the future of the Middle East peace process. It mentions that after the intense talks between Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine- General Command, an agreement was reached to declare the possible resumption of peace talks. Abbas also reiterated Obama's word that the U.S. is committed to peace in the region.
