ABSTRACT
The article discusses the personality and identity of Jesus in the Passion story within the Gospel according to Luke. His prayer in the garden of Gethsemane along with a few disciples portrays the human side of Christ who needs friends and support in difficult times. The encouraging words of Jesus to the weeping women during his march towards his crucifixion symbolizes his recognition on the dignity of women and their need to be guided.
