ABSTRACT
The article discusses the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery Discretionary Grant Program (TIGER) and the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) grants in the U.S. TIGER grants are reportedly allocated based on transportation sector and ranges from light-rail for cities to port, rail and highway reconstruction and construction of intermodal efficient terminals. EERE grants promote initiatives that will reduce dependence on petroleum and help decrease greenhouse gas emissions.
