ABSTRACT
The article reports that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has obtained permission from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to use GA-ASI Predator unmanned aerial systems (UAS) along the Texas border. DHS currently has four Predators patrolling the U.S.-Canada and Mexico-Arizona borders. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano disclosed the award of the FAA Certificate of Authorization (COA) for the Predator flights.
