ABSTRACT
The article reports on the presentation of the 2009 Hardee-Rives Dramatic Arts Award from the North Carolina Literary and Historical Association during its annual meeting in November 2009. It says that author Bland Simpson presented the award to actor and director Bo Thorp and the Cape Fear Regional Theatre for their contributions to dramatic arts of North Carolina. In addition, the R. Hunt Parker Memorial Award was given to Simpson for his contributions to the literature of North Carolina.
