ABSTRACT
The article presents a study on the importance of performing a risk assessment on immigration program in American Samoa, conducted by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). GAO found that Samoa operates its own customs and immigration programs administered by the Immigration Office and the Immigration Board. GAO recommends that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) must conduct a risk assessment to determine the risk involving aliens who use false documents.
