ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the plan of Senator Lindsey Graham to allegedly repeal the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution to end birthright citizenship. Graham states that birthright citizenship is a mistake and that the part of the constitution that provides citizenship to all people who were born or naturalized in the U.S. should be changed. Furthermore, the author says that the born-on-soil citizenship is a thoughtful recognition of the status of the U.S. as an immigrant nation.
