ABSTRACT
The article discusses the findings of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) air exit scenarios. GAO discovers that DHS did not manage to address the airline scenario's statutory condition. It reveals that it did not conform to a legislative expectation for collecting data on the information gathered from visitors under U.S. Visitor and Immigrant Status Indicator Technology (US-VISIT).
