It says that the compensation growth, though partially increased, was less compared in 2006-2008 due to the economic downturn. However, it states that salary comparison with other financial services industries such as banks shows favorable for credit unions, in which statistics shows it was even higher. It adds that incentive and retirement pays for credit union executives were also competitive.
