ABSTRACT
The article provides information on the economy of Canada in the light of National Energy Program put forward by the government of Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. It informs that the sufferers of the program are the U.S. owned oil and gas companies that have invested approximately dollars 10 billion in Canadian petroleum, gas and other energy enterprises. It further informs that Trudeau had hoped that program would bring economic balance.
