ABSTRACT
The article presents statistics about an economic stimulus bill signed into law by U.S. President Barack Obama in 2009. Nearly half the cost of a tunnel being built in Oakland, California will be covered by stimulus funds. Over 14,000 transportation projects were awarded money from the measure. By one estimate the stimulus effort created 2.7 million jobs.
